The song, called 'Fainting Spells', is believed to be taken from the band's eighth studio album Crash Love, which is due for release on September 28.
Speaking to NME, frontman Davey Havok revealed that the group's appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals last month presented the rockers with a perfect opportunity to debut new material.
"To return to the Reading and Leeds stages after being studio-locked for a spell was ideal," Havok explained.
"Our first UK performance of 'Medicate' for a sea of surging fans, after enjoying the inspiration of watching bands like Gallows and Crystal Castles command the audience, was fabulous. I very much look forward to returning."
