Beyoncé, Lady GaGa lead VMA winners

Beyoncé's haul included the night's biggest award, 'Video of the Year', for 'Single Ladies'. The song also netted the singer wins for 'Best Choreography' and 'Best Editing'.
However, Beyoncé lost out in the 'Best Female Video' category to country star Taylor Swift, prompting Kanye West to storm the stage and voice his displeasure.
GaGa was named 'Best New Artist' for 'Poker Face', while 'Paparazzi' triumphed in the categories of 'Best Art Direction' and 'Best Special Effects'.
Green Day also walked away with three awards, winning 'Best Rock Video', 'Best Cinematography' and 'Best Direction' for '21 Guns'.
Elsewhere, T.I. won 'Best Male Video' for 'Live Your Life' and Eminem's 'We Made You' was named 'Best Hip-Hop Video'. Britney picked up 'Best Pop Video' for her comeback single 'Womanizer'.
