The Saturdays have announced their intentions to become more successful than both Girls Aloud and Sugababes.
The five-piece, who release their new single 'Forever Is Over' on October 5, claim that they will make the most of Girls Aloud's current hiatus.
"We're ready to pounce," singer Rochelle Wiseman told The Sun. "We're glad to see the back of Girls Aloud. We know what we can do and we're ready to take advantage of their absence."
"We are definitely aiming to be the best girl band around," Una Healy said.
"There is no one else around anyway!" Wiseman added.
The 'Issues' singers described themselves as "better" than the Sugababes and went on to comment on recent reports that Keisha Buchanan and Amelle Berrabah have fallen out.
"I don't exactly know what's been going on but it obviously doesn't sound very good," Frankie Sandford said.
"I've not spent loads of time with them but when I have they have been fine with each other."
"You might expect it with a group of girls but there is no bitchiness with us," Mollie King said.
"If anyone in the group was doing that sort of thing we would address it immediately."
The Saturdays release their second album on October 10.
