Swift: 'Kanye apology was very sincere'

Taylor Swift has confirmed that Kanye West contacted her personally to apologise for interrupting her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The musician was greeted with boos after he stormed the stage during the best female video prize to suggest that Beyoncé would have been a better winner.

Speaking to ABC News Radio, she said: "He was very sincere in his apology and I accepted that apology."

Swift had discussed the incident during an appearance on The View yesterday, admitting that she had been "rattled" by West's sudden rant.
