The musician reportedly played on over 15,000 records during his career, including 'Downtown' by Petula Clark, 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place' by The Animals, 'You Really Got Me' and 'All Day And All Of The Night' by The Kinks, and 'I Only Want To Be With You' by Dusty Springfield.
A message from Graham on his website had read: "To all my friends and fans who have been trying to contact me during my illness, thank you very much for your concern and I will try to contact you all when I am feeling better."
US producer Shel Talmy described Graham as "the greatest drummer the UK has ever produced", while his work has also drawn praise from former colleagues Ray and Dave Davies, Mike Berry and Marty Wilde among others.
Graham, who had been diagnosed with cancer in April, died at the Isabel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City on Monday.
He is survived by his wife Belinda, son Shawn and younger brother Ian.
