Both tracks were penned by Swedish songwriter Max Martin, however the duo insisted that their song was released first in their native Australia in August 2005.
"Oh, there's definitely a big similarity there, but hopefully people have forgotten about Pink's single by now!" Jess Origliasso told DS.
"Seriously though, there are worse things than being compared to Pink - she's awesome and totally kickass. Plus I've heard mash-ups of the two together that sound like one big amazing song."
Lisa Orgiliasso added: "Our song was actually written by the same songwriter and it was released in Australia before the Pink song.
"It was the first thing we ever released as The Veronicas, but since then it's been remixed and re-recorded to make it more up-to-date with our current style."
The Veronicas release '4Ever' on September 28. Their album Hook Me Up follows on October 12.
