The 72-year-old 'Diamonds Are Forever' singer will play London's Roundhouse on October 23 as part of a week-long run of special concerts at the venue. Radio 2 will broadcast the gig live.
Robbie Williams, Doves, Dizzee Rascal, Smokey Robinson and Florence & The Machine have already been confirmed for the other dates.
Bassey's concert will act as a celebration of her 50 years in showbusiness and will feature classic hits and tracks from her forthcoming studio album The Performance. She will play with the BBC Concert Orchestra in her only live show of 2009.
"What I'm most looking forward to at the BBC Electric Proms is performing songs from my new album The Performance for the first time," she said. "It really will be a special moment for me."
