Adele: 'New album inspired by alcohol'
Published Wednesday, Sep 23 2009, 20:50 BST | By Oli Simpson

The 'Chasing Pavements' singer was believed to have quit alcohol after her drinking led to several cancelled dates on her 2008 US tour.
However, she reportedly fell back into bouts of boozing earlier this year when writing material for her forthcoming record.
Friend and journalist Dean Piper told This Morning: "I caught up with her in New York. She was talking about the new album. She was off the booze, she was making a big effort to get clean and healthy. But she has gone back on the booze so she can get a bit emotional and write some new tracks."
