The Catch 22 star has been nominated for three consecutive years but has come away empty-handed each time so far.
"It's getting to the point where I have to win," he told the Daily Star. "I can't come home with nothing again. N-Dubz have won one, so it's my time."
The 22-year-old, who is nominated in three categories at the awards show, revealed that he has already decided which gong he is most eager to win.
"Best UK artist is the one I want," he said. "Don't get me wrong, best single and best album would be great too, but the other one represents the whole package."
Stryder is expected to perform the Warchild charity single 'I Got Soul' with the Young Soul Rebels at the event, which takes place at the Glasgow SECC on September 30.
