La Roux: 'Tinchy Stryder is overrated'

The 21-year-old, who is the daughter of The Bill actress Trudie Goodwin, insisted that Stryder's talent is not comparable to recording artists from previous decades, including George Michael.
"George Michael wrote 'Careless Whisper' when he was 17," she told The Guardian. "I didn't see Tinchy Stryder writing a song like that when he was 17, but he still gets the same praise.
"It's the media, everything is 'amazing, brilliant'," she said, adding that radio DJs are "not allowed to slag anything off".
Jackson admitted that people are often surprised when she tells them that she is not a fan of Lady GaGa either.
"I can't possibly like everything - how ridiculous is that?" she said. "They're like, 'Really, Lady Gaga's not your thing?' Have you listened to my album? Of course it's not my thing!"
La Roux release new single 'I'm Not Your Toy' on September 28.
