Sugababes:

Sugababes have admitted that they "couldn't work" with former bandmember Keisha Buchanan.

Earlier this week, the 24-year-old, who was the only remaining member of the original lineup, quit the female trio and was replaced by Eurovision star Jade Ewen.

Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah said that the new addition to the group marks "a new page", BBC News reports.

"We just told our managers we couldn't work like this," Range told Radio 1 host Scott Mills.

Range and Berrabah also revealed that they did not meet Ewen until two days prior to a video shoot on Sunday in the Santa Clarita desert outside Los Angeles.

The 'My Man' singer confirmed that she is now putting her solo efforts on hold, saying: "The Sugababes is my main project."

The girlband's new single 'About A Girl' was played for the first time on Mills's programme. Ewen is still recording vocals for their forthcoming album that had featured Buchanan singing on it.

Sugababes release new LP Sweet 7 on November 23.
