Frontman Guy Garvey announced that he intends to get through his recently-purchased boxset of The Sopranos before deciding on the album's lyrics.
"We never stop writing, really. We've got a couple of loose themes that I'm starting to write around but when we finish at the M.E.N. [Arena] we've got four weeks off. So I'm gonna concentrate on my lyrics for four weeks," he told XFM.
"I say concentrate on my lyrics, but I mean I'll concentrate on my drinking, and eating, and maybe I'll do the entirety of The Sopranos. I got the boxset the other day. And then I'll think about the lyrics for the next record."
Bassist Pete Turner recently admitted that it could be "four or five years" before the group release their next LP.
