Former bandmate Keisha Buchanan was replaced with Jade Ewen last week.
"This is a new beginning," Berrabah told The Mirror. "I'm very happy."
Referring to recent rumours that she went missing, she added: "I did need a breather so I went home and turned my phone off and ignored everybody. I wanted to work out what I wanted in life.
"Keisha and myself talked it out a lot. I saw her twice in the end when I was in LA and we were trying to sort things out. Once on my own and once with Heidi.
"I just think what's done is done and it's sorted. It's time to move on. I'd like to be mates with [Buchanan] in the future and I can't be arsed with some public war of words."
Berrabah recently said that Buchanan had made her "depressed".
