Sugababe Amelle 'sent hate mail'

Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah has reportedly been left terrified after receiving hate mail from fans of ousted member Keisha Buchanan.

The 25-year-old, who herself threatened to quit the band following a breakdown in communication with Buchanan, has been targeted by fans blaming her for the latest lineup change.

"Her management have received thousands of abusive letters whilst her Twitter page has been overrun with them," a source told The Sun.

"She's petrified - some have been really threatening. She won't be hitting the club scene until everything has died down. She feels she is at risk."

According to reports, the singer is "in tears every night" and is being comforted by friends.

Fellow band member Heidi Range recently admitted that it had "been the week from hell" following widespread criticism of the decision to sack Buchanan.
