The 'Behind Closed Doors' singer told OK magazine that he is keen to organise a collaboration with Buena, who quit the girlband in 2005.
He revealed: "The Sugababe I'd most like to work with is Mutya Buena. She is incredibly talented - and the most underrated vocal star we have.
"If you are reading this, Mutya, I would love to work with you."
Sugababes have dominated headlines in recent days following the controversial decision to axe Keisha Buchanan from the group. Buena condemned the surprise move in a Sunday newspaper interview at the weekend.
Andre released his latest album Revelation earlier this month.
