The 'Sticks N Stones' singer has called off six shows after failing to recover from laryngitis, which he contracted during his recent Australian jaunt.
The 23-year-old was due to kick off the tour at the Bristol O2 Academy tonight, before playing further dates in Southampton and Birmingham. However, the run of gigs will now begin next Friday, October 9 at Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom.
"It is with regret that, after seeking medical advice, Jamie T is to cancel the first six shows of his upcoming 'Kings & Queens' tour," a spokesperson told NME.
"After suffering from a bout of laryngitis on his recent Australian tour – which culminated in Jamie having to postpone the last two shows – his voice has not sufficiently recovered for him to begin the tour at the Bristol O2 Academy on October 1."
The cancelled shows are expected to be rescheduled soon and all original tickets will still be valid.
