No official statement has been released over the decision to scrap the 34-date US jaunt, which was scheduled to kick off next month in Phoenix, Arizona.
According to reports in the US, negative publicity surrounding West's recent outburst at the MTV VMAs during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech may have contributed to the cancelled shows.
GaGa recently admitted that she was excited at the prospect of embarking on a tour with West.
"We wanted our fans to feel like we were doing something special and we wanted to merge two groups of fans - two different [groups of] music lovers into one room," she told The Sun.
Representatives for both GaGa and West are yet to comment.
