Contostavlos recently criticised the group for being "manufactured" and claimed that they mimed at the MOBO Awards.
However, BBC News reports that the band has refused to criticise the rapper.
Member Oritse Williams insisted that JLS and N-Dubz "respect" each other and described Contostavlos as a "talented guy".
He added that the groups had spent time together before and after the MOBOs.
Meanwhile, Aston Merrygold said: "You've got to think whether that was said in the context it was written. We've learnt this from the stories that have been written in the past.
"You can say stuff - as a joke or in any way - but it doesn't matter because on paper, people will write it down how they want to write it down.
"We don't listen to any of that nonsense anymore."
N-Dubz and JLS both won two awards at the MOBOs on Wednesday night.
