Bedingfield scoops two BMI music awards

The track picked up the Robert S Musel award for 'Song of the Year' and was named the 'College Song of the Year' at the event, which is held by the US performing rights society to recognise the most successful UK and European music.
'Pocketful Of Sushine', which was penned by Bedingfield and Danielle Brisebois, reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 last year and has shifted over two million units worldwide.
September's hit single 'Cry For You' scooped the dance award, while songs recognised with pop awards include Estelle's 'American Boy', Adele's 'Chasing Pavements' and Duffy's 'Mercy'.
