Big Day Out organisers announce second date
Organisers of Sydney music festival Big Day Out have been forced to organise a second show to compensate for an error which robbed thousands of fans the opportunity to buy tickets.

The event, which is usually held in the city only once per year, will now be a two-day festival featuring acts such as Lily Allen, Muse, Eskimo Joe and Powderfinger.

A mistake by Ticketmaster meant that fans were able to buy tickets at 9pm the night before they were supposed to go on sale, meaning that there were none left by 9am the following morning.

Tickets for the second Sydney show will become available on Monday. The new concert will be held on Saturday, January 23, the day after the original event.
