The band's frontman Thom Yorke recently said that the process of making full-length records had "become a real drag" and that the band would move away from the format for now.
However, guitarist O'Brien told NME: "We will be making an album!
"We love the artwork; that's really important to us, the physicality. And we like vinyl. That's not going to go away."
Of a planned new record, he added: "Typical Radiohead, we're going into the studio in winter. It's always miserable!
"When you're in a studio in the countryside the music you make is definitely affected by what season it is."
