The 19-year-old star revealed that she plans to keep surprising her fans with each new album.
"I think my ultimate career goal is to establish myself as someone who is not predictable," Swift told Post-Gazette. "There are a few artists that I feel are always throwing out a curveball and when you hear they're coming out with something new, you don't know what it's going to sound like.
"I would like to keep on making [records] that cement me in people's minds as someone who is not going to make the same musical decisions over and over."
Swift also stated that she is looking to collaborate with a variety of different artists outside of the country genre.
She added: "I can't say I'm going to take any more steps toward hip-hop on my next record, but there are definitely people in other genres I greatly respect.
"I'm open to a lot of different collaborations and I think it's a good thing for country music to have artists out there having an open mind like that."
