Cilmi told The Sun that the producer would make the record different from last year's debut Lessons To Be Learned.
She said: "I've been collaborating on my new songs with Dallas Austin, who has produced hits for Pink, TLC and Gwen Stefani, all of whom I really admire.
"Not only is he a super-hot producer but he's great in the studio, a real laugh to hang with."
She added: "He's untapped a side of me I didn't know was there, so the new album has a different feel and sound from the last one. I can't wait for you guys to hear it."
