The administrators of the late singer's estate admitted that the tune is a rehash of Anka's 'I Never Heard' after it was passed off as a Jackson hit at the weekend.
Spokesperson John Branca told TMZ: "We acknowledge that Michael and Paul wrote this song together".
Branca's colleague John McClain said that they will do everything they can to ensure that Anka gains the recognition he deserves for the song.
Anka claimed that he was hoping to use the track on his album until Jackson "stole the tapes" from his studio in California. After threatening a lawsuit, Anka apparently got the recordings back but Jackson kept a copy for himself.
