The new wave star, who reached number one with 'Cars' in 1979, claimed that he has been in discussions to collaborate with the 'Remedy' singer.
"I've heard Little Boots and I think she's really good," he wrote in The Times.
"I'm supposed to be recording a live session with her for BBC 6Music but we're still trying to sort out dates because her career is exploding all over the place so it's pretty hard to pin her down."
The 51-year-old, who previously dismissed any plans to take part in an '80s reunion tour, revealed that he is currently working on two new records.
"I'm recording an album at the moment and once that's done I'm going to start on the next one straight away because I want to get two albums out back to back," he said.
Numan released his last album Jagged in March 2006 following a three-year delay.
