Taylor Swift has said that she feels honoured to have been nominated for six American Music Awards.

The 19-year-old picked up the most nods for this year's event followed by Michael Jackson, who was posthumously nominated in five categories.

Swift reportedly told a benefit concert in Nashville that she was "walking on cloud nine", adding: "I've never been nominated six times for any award show. This is just such a wonderful day for me."

The Fearless singer is up against Jackson, Lady GaGa, Eminem and Kings Of Leon for the prestigious 'Artist Of The Year' gong. Winners will be announced during a ceremony on November 22.
