The singer, who was punched in the face while signing copies of her autobiography Dreams, was originally scheduled to continue on to Europe this week.
According to Metro, the 24-year-old has now cancelled immediate engagements as she is still in shock from the incident.
Police are reportedly questioning a man known only as "Peter" over the assault, which took place at a Waterstone's store in Piccadilly.
Earlier today, representatives for Lewis released a statement thanking fans for their supportive messages.
Lewis releases new single 'Happy' on November 9. Her album Echo follows on November 16.
