The former Atomic Kitten singer confirmed that she hopes to launch a new assault on the charts and rebuild her reputation following her recent cocaine scandal.
Katona told the Daily Star: "I do not do drugs any longer. I am looking after myself mentally and physically as well as I can."
She continued: "Ideally I would like to have a single and an album out at some stage next year."
The I'm A Celebrity... winner also paid tribute to her husband Mark Croft, who has been repeatedly blamed for her problems.
Katona said: "[This year's] been a nightmare, everyone knows that. Thank God I've got Mark for support. He's been brilliant. I love him to shreds. A lot has been said about our marriage, but if you can come through what we have, we must be okay."
The 29-year-old received a police caution in August in the aftermath of the cocaine incident.
