The Queen Of Pop told Rolling Stone that she had followed the 'LoveGame' singer's career from its beginnings and that she 'saw herself' in the AMA-nominated star.
Madonna said: "When I saw her [early in her career], she didn't have a lot of money for her production, she's got holes in her fishnets, and there's mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that 'it' factor. It's nice to see that at a raw stage."
The 51-year-old was recently hailed as a "first-rate manifester" by her ex-husband Guy Ritchie, who added: "Madonna makes things happen. Put Madonna up against any 23-year-old, she'll outwork them, outdance them, outperform them."
Ritchie has since come under fire from disability rights group The Arc for reportedly stating in the same interview: "I still love her. But she's retarded, too."
