Sir Paul McCartney, Lily Allen and Take That have been confirmed for a Children In Need concert next month.

Muse, Leona Lewis, Dizzee Rascal, Snow Patrol and Dame Shirley Bassey will also perform at the one-off event at London's Royal Albert Hall.

Tickets, which cost between £50 and £100, will be allocated via a ballot. Registration opens today and closes on Tuesday, October 20.

Radio 2's Sir Terry Wogan announced the lineup, which has been organised by Gary Barlow, on his breakfast show this morning.

"I've always wanted to do something like this and I can promise a night to remember, a night that will, I hope, play a small part in changing the lives of disadvantaged children across the UK," said Barlow.

Wogan, Chris Moyles, Fearne Cotton and Gavin & Stacey star James Corden will host the event, which takes place on November 12.
