According to the Los Angeles Times, the Oklahoma rockers drafted in Peaches and Henry Rollins to guest on the LP, which reimagines Pink Floyd's version track-by-track.
Flaming Lips singer Wayne Coyne made the admission at a Q&A before the band's set at the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday.
It is thought that the covers album will first become available on iTunes.
