The singer, who recently spent four months in jail, explained that he was inspired to compose songs while he was imprisoned.
"When I was away [in prison], I wrote a lot of stuff, which will be released next year," he told The Times. "I wrote a diary and songs.
"I got into trouble because I wrote on the wall, 'Some things are past understanding, you just need a place to land'. It was part of a lyric."
He added: "I actually wrote a song about Amy when I was in prison."
George has previously said that Winehouse inspired him to start singing again.
