The singer, who collaborated with Christina Aguilera on her upcoming new record, admitted that she partly regrets turning down the 'Mercy' star.
"Duffy's people were really, really trying to get a song to put out as a single but I kept thinking I didn't have enough ballads for my next album so I said no," she told the Daily Star.
"Now I hear it among the rest of the songs on my record and it doesn't fit. I should have given it to her. It's a good learning curve as to what an idiot I can be."
Sia, who has previously provided vocals on three Zero 7 albums, is expected to release new solo record We Are Born in 2010.
