Rihanna has confirmed that her new studio album will be called Rated R.

The singer, who premiered new single 'Russian Roulette' yesterday, will release the record on November 23.

Record label Def Jam confirmed that the album includes tracks written by Ne-Yo, The Dream, Christopher 'Tricky' Stewart, Justin Timberlake and UK producers Chase & Status.

Ne-Yo, who penned lead single 'Russian Roulette', recently described the new record as trailing an "edgier" sound.

Rihanna rose to fame with debut album Music Of The Sun in 2005 and released second LP A Girl Like Me a year later.

The 21-year-old's last album Good Girl Gone Bad shifted over seven million copies worldwide and spawned singles including 'Umbrella', 'Don't Stop The Music' and 'Disturbia'.
