The singer, who is currently at number one with Flo Rida collaboration 'Bad Boys', allegedly impressed Davis so much that he promised to make her a success Stateside.
"Alexandra was celebrating her number one record with friends and family. She got a huge shock when Clive appeared and said he thinks she's the future of pop music," a source told The Mirror.
Davis, who has previously helped acts including Whitney Houston, Leona Lewis and Kelly Clarkson rise to fame, has reportedly already tried to secure some performances in the US for Burke.
"Clive may even get her to sing at his pre-Grammys party - it would be massive exposure given that the who's who of the music world are attending," the source added.
According to midweek sales, Burke is expected to reach number one with debut album Overcome on Sunday.
