Elton John has been forced to cancel two of his concerts due to illness.
The singer, who is recovering from the flu, had to pull out of a gig in Sheffield last night, BBC News reports.
He has now also cancelled tonight's concert at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena after advice from doctors.
John's spokesperson said: "Elton is bitterly disappointed at missing tonight's Red Piano concert in Newcastle... one of his favourite areas to perform.
"The crowds are always great music fans and not being able to do this special show for Newcastle is upsetting."
Fans have been told to keep their tickets. A further announcement will be made on Monday.
