The group, who postponed current promotional activity after Amelle Berrabah was diagnosed with nervous exhaustion, will be joined at the event by JLS, Noisettes, Chipmunk and further acts to be announced at a later date.
The city's Christmas lights will be switched on at 7.30pm and will be accompanied by a fireworks display over Millennium Point.
The event has been organised in partnership with Birmingham City Council and will be hosted by BRMB presenter Russ Morris.
Sugababes release new single 'About A Girl' on November 9. Their album Sweet 7 follows on November 23.
