The 'Tiny Dancer' star had already shelved shows in Sheffield on Friday and Newcastle on Saturday after doctors advised him to rest.
He was booked to play the London venue tomorrow night.
Speaking to BBC News, the promoters said it is "hoped he will make a speedy recovery".
It is understood that organisers hope to reschedule his Wembley show for December. The dates in Sheffield and Newcastle will also be rearranged.
A spokesperson for the 62-year-old singer claimed that he was "terribly disappointed" that he was unable to appear.
His concert in Liverpool on Wednesday night is still scheduled to take place.
