Cocker quashes Pulp reformation rumours

WENN

Jarvis Cocker has rubbished reports that he is planning to reform Pulp for Glastonbury 2010.

Earlier this month, tabloid newspapers claimed that the singer will reunite with the Britpop band for the festival's 40th anniversary.

However, Cocker insisted that his comments were taken out of context, promising that any appearance at next year's festival would be as a solo act.

"I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp have no plans to get back together," he told Planet Sound. "Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp reform' story. It's not true."

Glastonbury 2010 takes place at Worthy Farm, Somerset next June.
