Michael Bublé has declared that he wants to team up with Robbie Williams to record a duet.

The Canadian, who is currently at number two in the UK albums chart, confessed to being a big fan of the former Take That singer, The Sun reports.

He said of Williams's recent controversial X Factor performance: "People are very quick to jump on a guy and say, 'He's high', or, 'He's drunk', but Robbie was getting up on stage for the first time in three years. Give the guy a break.

"I can seem a bit loose and apparently some people thought I was drunk. So I felt for Robbie."

Earlier today, Williams cancelled his planned appearance at next week's MTV Europe Music Awards.
