The pair were expected to embark on the 34-date jaunt next week, but West pulled out of the co-headlining tour last month
DeRulo, who is currently at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 with debut single 'Whatcha Say', revealed that he is excited about hitting the road.
"I'm looking forward to being on tour with GaGa - she's an incredible performer so I'll have to put on a show too. I'll have to borrow some of her costumes," he told the Daily Star.
"I was sitting in the row behind her at the MTV VMAs and if it comes about I can take her on a date, that's a beautiful thing. Of course I could handle her."
GaGa recently insisted that she remains good friends with West and was not responsible for his decision to pull out of the tour.
