Simply Red announce 2010 Forest gigs

Simply Red have confirmed that they will perform a series of live shows next summer as part of Forestry Commission Live Music.

The group will play seven dates across England in June and July, with profits going towards improving woodlands for wildlife and the public to enjoy.

"As we had such fun performing a solo forest show at Westonbirt Arboretum this year, we decided it would be great to play all the forest concert venues around the country in 2010. It is a fantastic experience for a band to play in these unique settings," Mick Hucknall said in a statement.

• June 12 - Bedgebury Pinetum & Forest, Nr Goudhurst, Kent
• June 18 - Sherwood Pines Forest Park, Nr Edwinstowe, Nottinghamshire
• June 19 - Westonbirt Arboretum, Nr Tetbury, Gloucestershire
• June 25 - Cannock Chase Forest, Nr Rugeley, Staffordshire
• June 26 - Dalby Forest, Nr Pickering, North Yorkshire
• July 2 - Delamere Forest, Delamere, Cheshire
