The singer, who released her new album Colour Me Free this week, revealed that she now avoids listening to her early material.
"I don't really listen to my own music that often, unless while I'm making it," Contactmusic quotes her as saying. "And then once it's out I don't listen to it. I really liked [debut] Introducing Joss Stone, I really enjoyed that because it was, you know, my little baby."
She continued: "I don't really like listening to The Soul Sessions because my voice was so young and wasn't confident at all. For me to listen to it it's not fun. And I think Mind, Body & Soul was like, okayish, I was figuring things out, but it was like, meh."
Stone also explained that she only intends to make music while she enjoys it.
"Everything I do I just do it because it's fun and if I stop enjoying it I stop doing it," she added. "You've just got to enjoy each day. And God, when you make things serious it's your fault you're doing it."
