Lady GaGa: 'My image is based on Bowie'

Lady GaGa has revealed that she takes influence from David Bowie when creating her many looks.

The popstar appeared on MTV's It's On With Alexa Chung in New York yesterday, when she paid homage to the legendary rocker, Gigwise reports.

She told the presenter: "I used to sit in my apartment for hours and do [Bowie's] make-up on myself over and over again."

Later in the interview, GaGa admitted to being an obsessive collector of Bowie memorabilia.
