Rihanna to perform at AMAs

Rihanna has been confirmed as a performer at the American Music Awards.

The 'Russian Roulette' singer, who has recently gone public with her feelings about her altercation with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, last appeared on the annual awards show in 2008, People reports.

She will join performers including Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, Daughtry and Jennifer Lopez.

Rihanna sang her smash hit 'Umbrella' and Ne-Yo duet 'Hate That I Love You' in 2007 and 'Rehab' in 2008. It is not known which track she will sing at this year's ceremony.

Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson lead the nominations for the 37th Annual American Music Awards, which will be broadcast on Sunday, November 22 on ABC.

Rihanna's new album Rated R will be released the following day.
