Jay-Z said that the performance was being filmed for an upcoming promotional video.
The rapper added: "I want to thank anyone who bought my Blueprint 3. My 11th number one album, surpassing Elvis Presley. I can officially say Elvis has left the building... That's a joke!"
Other songs from the recent release played on the night included 'Empire State Of Mind', 'D.O.A. (Death of Autotune)' and 'Run This Town'.
