Rod Willis, who has managed the Australian band for 32 years, was replaced after declining to take part in their December reunion.
The group's songwriter Don Walker told The Daily Telegraph: "When we joined up with Rod we were an unknown band. Rod has been like a brother to us for 32 years."
Former journalist John O'Donnell will apparently partner with manager John Watson to handle the group. Watson also looks after Aussie acts Missy Higgins and Pete Murray.
In September, Cold Chisel announced that they were reforming for a one-off performance at the Sydney Telstra 500 V8 race on December 5. They have denied speculation about more gigs or albums, but their new management confirmation ended: "Cold Chisel... watch this space."
