Virginia Judge, the New South Wales Minister for Fair Trading, criticised Britney for charging high ticket prices for a show that was not performed live.
Describing Britney's gig as a "Mickey Mouse performance", she added: "Let's be clear - live means live. If you are spending up to 200 AUD (£110), I think you deserve better than a film clip.
"The NSW government would be happy to look at options, such as a disclaimer on a ticket which would warn consumers a performance is pre-recorded," Contactmusic quotes her as saying.
Britney kicks off the 14-date Australian leg of her 'The Circus Starring' tour in Perth tonight.
