Wonder is expected to pay homage to the label's founder Berry Gordy Jr at the November 21 event, which will also feature tributes to Michael Jackson and Four Tops star Levi Stubbs.
The ceremony will further include performances from Otis Williams and The Temptations.
The BBC reports that proceeds from the Detroit bash will go to the city's Motown Historical Museum.
