The boyband's self-titled debut - home to the No.1 hits 'Beat Again' and current UK chart-topper 'Everybody In Love' - is available in the shops from today.
"I think the album's very varied. There's a shock value to it because it differs from song to song," group member Oritsé Williams told DS. "However, there's a song for everyone on the album and no matter what age you are, you're going to appreciate it."
When asked what the most shocking track on the album is, Marvin Humes replied: "A song called 'One Shot'. It starts off like a ballad and then totally switches up."
However, JLS admitted that they are not optimistic about beating Robbie Williams - whose comeback platter Reality Killed The Video Star is also released today - to the top of the charts.
"It's not a battle. You can't compete with someone like Robbie Williams. He's a legend in pop music," Humes said.
"We're new to this game and we're just happy to be putting this album out. Wherever it goes, we're going to be very happy and it's been an amazing year for us."
